Extreme Oregon: the photography of James Parsons.

Oregon is a state of extremes. Oregon is known for its mild and wet climate, but in truth this climate is the exception in Oregon. Two thirds of the state is high desert, blocked from the mild and damp Pacific air by the rugged Cascade Mountains. The climate and geology of Oregon is actually very extreme. We have soaking, moss-covered rain forests, alpine peaks and meadows, harsh and dry deserts, and everything in between.
